In addition, instructions on how to use the CLIPables Image Browser that is included on this MacWorld Magazine CD are given, as well as to let you know that a folder containing a number of FREE CLIPables images is also included on this CD.

Major features of the CLIPables Library include:
• Thousands of images on the CD, with complete versions in both full color and black and white.
• The Clipables Master CD is comprised of four major sections: the Main Library, Statements, Travel and Vacation, and Editions I. Each major section is broken into numerous major and minor topic areas, including business, holidays, borders, humor, maps, animals, ornaments, and on and on. All toll, CLIPables spans more than 40 major and minor topics.
• Every CLIPables image is fully editable. If an image isn’t exactly the way you want, and you need to edit it, with a compatible drawing program and just a few clicks of your mouse, the image will come completely apart, ready for a change in color or grayscale, or an element to be taken out and used as its own file.
• In addition to the EPS versions of the library, there is a full color PICT version of the library on the CD for Macintosh users, and a TIF version for PC users. Both the PICT and TIFF versions are excellent for multimedia.
• For easy viewing on screen of all CLIPables images contained within the library, an electronic image browser is included. With the image browser, you can find individual images by name or keyword, or groups of images by topic.
• A hard copy, full color pictorial manual is included with the CLIPables Master CD. The pictorial manual shows every image in the library and is keyed to the CD for easy reference.
Compatibility:
CLIPables is compatible with virtually all page layout and drawing programs. A brief list of compatible programs includes: For editing: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop (note: rasterizes images first), Deneba Artworks, Deneba Canvas, MacroMedia FreeHand (v. 2.0 or later). For page layout: QuarkXPress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PageMaker, Clarisworks, CorelDraw, Intellidraw, MacroMedia FreeHand (v. 2.0 or later), Microsoft Word (v. 5.1 or later), Ready-Set-Go, SuperPaint (v. 3.5 or later) and TypeStyler.
If your program is not listed above, please check your program's user manual for compatibility requirements.
The CLIPables Image Browser
Now that you know a little something about CLIPables, we invite you to take a look at the CLIPables Image Browser that is included on this MacWorld Magazine CD. The image browser shows screen preview (low resolution) of all of the CLIPables images in the CLIPables Master CD. To use the CLIPables Image Browser, just double click on its icon, then click your mouse when asked to do so, and the browser window showing a few of the images will appear on screen. To see more images, simply scroll down the list using the scroll bar.
You can find individual or groups of images by using the FIND feature of the browser. To use the FIND feature, do the following:
1. Click on the word FIND. A dialogue box will appear.
2. Click and hold on the word NAME. A pop-up box appears.
3. Move your mouse down to the word KEYWORDS. Let go.
4. In the blank text box next to the word CONTAINS, type in the name of an image or topic that you want
to find. For example, type the word Christmas. In a moment, all images that have the keyword
Christmas will appear in the browser.
Free CLIPables Images:
Included on this CD is a folder containing a number of the CLIPables images. The images are included in color EPS, black and white EPS and color PICT formats. Please feel free to try these images out in your page layout, illustration and word processing applications. In addition, you may give these images to a friend or colleague and if you do, please tell them all about the CLIPables Library.
